How to play

Guess the five-letter word in six tries. After each guess the tiles change colour to show how close you were.

C is in the word and in the right place.

L is in the word but in the wrong place.

U isn't in the word at all.

Daily is the same word for everyone, and a new one arrives at midnight UK time.
Practice gives you as many extra words as you like. They don't touch your streak.
Challenge a friend lets you pick a word and send a link. Whoever opens it gets that word to solve.

Your daily stats

Green letters are locked in place. Drag the other tiles (or tap two) to try new spots. This only uses clues you have already earned.

Hard modeHints you've found must be used in later guesses. Can't be switched on mid-game.

Colour-blind coloursOrange and blue instead of green and yellow, with markers on the tiles.

Letter shuffle helperShows the Shuffle letters button, for rearranging the letters you have found. Switch off for a purer game.
